School Council
Children are elected to the School Council by their classmates at the beginning of each term. There are two councillors per class.
The School Council meets four or five times per term.
Our School Council gives children the chance to put their point of view about issues that concern them and suggest their ideas for how we could improve our school. There is a suggestion box in each class and the School Councillors review these and decide which suggestions and/or concerns should be brought to the next meeting.
One of the important roles that the School Council plays is to select three charities that the school will support during the year. The School Council are responsible for planning the activities that will enable the whole school to raise money for these charities.
